I am trying to purchase a car for my birthday (which is next week) and I have a low credit score. Its in the 500’s. I have paid off a good amount of items on my credit but it takes such a long time for it come off your credit. If I take the pay off notices with me will it help me get an auto loan? I am 26 yrs old and have 6500 in credit card debt and $5000 remaining on an auto loan. I was thinking of using most of my IRA to pay off these loans. Being that I’m still in my mid- twenties and having 30+ years to save up for retirement, it seems like a good idea. Plus I’ll be able to aggressively save after I pay off these loans, both retirement and cash reserves. Good or bad idea?

Has anyone every heard of Prosper Loans? They are a people to people loan with a much higher interest rate, the max is a 3-year loan. I have tried loans from other sources and been unsuccessful. I used to get a report. From 3 agencies for free because I was considered low income.I don’t remember the website anymore .I found a site that says their free however their asking for 10.50.
